Vaccinations
Proof of an annual veterinarian examination of your pet's health and vaccination status is the minimal requirement of admission to board at Four Paws. A copy provided by your veterinarian will be placed in your client file each year and expire one year from date of the exam or at time of first vaccination expiration which ever is first.

Leashes/Crates
For your pet's safety we ask that you have your pet on leash or in their transporting crate for check in and check out at Four Paws.
What to bring
Bedding: Bedding is provided for all canine and feline guests. For sanitation purposes we kindly ask that you leave your pet's usual more bulky bed at home. Bedding that is easily washable such as crate mats, sheepskins, or small rugs are always welcome.
Toys: Toys are always welcome. We encourage you to bring an item or two from home to help make your pet feel more comfortable while boarding. Rawhide chew toys are, however, discouraged.
Bedding and Toys should be marked with your last name using a permanent marker. Though every measure will be taken to return individual items at the end of each stay, Four Paws can not be responsible should an item become lost.
Check-in
All guests will be given a brief pre-entry check on arrival. Anything unusual should be brought to our attention at that time. If fleas or ticks are found, we will need to treat your pet prior to entering the kennel or cattery. The pre-entry check performed by kennel personnel is superficial only and not intended to replace a physical exam performed by your veterinarian or imply medical judgment.
Flea / tick control
We are a flea and tick free environment-- if fleas or ticks are found upon check-in your pet will be treated and you will be charged accordingly.
Emergency #s- what will be done if pet becomes ill
When health care is felt to be needed, every effort will be made to seek health care from our guests' veterinarian of record with whom they are more familiar.
As the owner, you will be notified as requested at the number you provide for emergency notification.
As always, our efforts will be directed to ensuring the health of our guests first and notifications second should time be of the essence.
To ensure the safety and welfare of our guests, we have veterinarians available to respond to emergency health needs when our guests' veterinarian of record is unavailable.
Medically Challenged / Geriatric Guests-The "Special Needs" Pet
We recognize owners may have to travel even as their pets' age. We provide boarding for medically challenged or geriatric pets as necessary provided they have boarded previously in their lifetime. Please consult a Four Paws staff member about your special situation and needs of your pet. We will work with you and your veterinarian to provide the safest environment for your pet while you are away from home.
We also recognize our guests may eventually approach a certain age or come to a point in their medical condition where certain extensive treatment is not desired to prolong suffering. Please consult a Four Paws staff member about DNR (do not resuscitate) desires when boarding a special needs pet. Four Paws is dedicated to abiding by the desires of its guests and their owners.
Food
We provide high quality dry, semi-moist and canned foods. If your pet is on a special or prescribed diet not available at Four Paws, please bring an ample supply of the required food in an air tight container and we will feed according to your instructions. There are no additional charges for special food handling.
First time check in
All pets must have a signed annual pet registration agreement and verification of veterinary health prior to boarding.
First time boarders can speed up their check in process by completing the available pet registration agreement prior to arrival and attaching a copy of proof of health / vaccination from their veterinarian.
Please allow up to 20 minutes for a complete check-in, including a pre-entry evaluation. Repeat stay guests will process in more quickly however pre-entry evaluations will be completed on all guests.
